Holiday Reading - Character Portrait

The title of the book I read was Trip To Niagara Falls. The author of the book was Geronimo Stilton. This book is an adventure book.

The character I have chosen is Geronimo Stilton the main character of the book.
In the story Geronimo went to an unexpected field trip to Niagara Falls.  They were going to go camping there and he was expected to set up 9 tents, set up a toilet, sink and shower.
I did this character because he is sort of a hero to the other characters in the story.

Holiday Reading - Rewriting the End

The title of the book I read was Captain Underpants and the Invasion of the Incredibly Naughty Cafeteria Ladies from Outer Space ( and the subsequent assault of the equally evil lunchroom zombie nerds ). The author to the story was Dav Pilkey. This book is an adventure book.

The story ended with Captain Underpants, George Beard and Harold Hutchins blowing up the 3 aliens and their spaceship.

I would change the story with the 3 aliens stepping on a disguised block of grass and then sprung up into the sky never to be found again. Then the school used the empty, unusable spaceship as an object in the playground.

I think my ending of the story is better because they don't have to waste time writing the names of extra, random potions. George and Harold can make it more like a prank seeing that they like to do a lot of pranks.

Holiday reading - Setting

The title of the book I read was Tashi and the Big Stinker. The author’s of the book is Anna Fienberg, Barbara Fienberg and Kim Gamble. The book is an adventure book.

The line “Tashi set off,out of town, across the fields and into the forest” of the book is the best that describes the setting I chose. webcam-toy-photo1.jpg

Snow poem

Snow
Snow flakes fall
on small, quiet
polar bear paws.
They lay watching the hours
tick by
on the rocky hard ground
then melt away.

Panmure Library Visit

siddjfaspidsd.jpgdjfsd.jpgiiojeiorjwerwe.jpg

We went to the Panmure Library and met Mama Piri and Tau from the Museum and Ruth from the Library. First we sang a song with different greetings in maori, samoan, tongan and cook land. Next we were told a story about why the best octopus catcher looks like a rat. Finally we all got a long strip of paper and we drew our own design on a small part of the tip, we joined a few together on a string and made 4 skirts. My favourite part was when Tau was telling us the story about the octopus and rat.

Transformation art

This is my transformation art.
It was 3 media - pastel, crayon and dye, paint.
It shows 3 transformations:
the first row is translated
the second row it rotated
the last row is reflected.
I really like the colours that I used because i think they come
together really nicely.
Next time I will try and paint a bit more carefully.
