This is my xtramath for today. I do think I could try and practice more harder and not rushing my answers.

Xtramath

This is my first xtramath for term 3. I don't think I did as well as I would usually do during the middle of the term.

Holiday Reading - Food Glorious Food

The name of the book I read was Cook With Kids by Rob Kirby.

In this book I read a recipe on brownies.

In a bowl mix :

• 2/3 of a cup of all purpose flour
• A 1/4 of a teaspoon of baking soda
• 1/2 a teaspoon of salt

Mix well then set the bowl aside and in a saucepan over medium heat :

• 1/2 a cup of sugar
• 2 tablespoons of butter
• 2 tablespoons of water

Stir until the mixture comes to a boil, Move the saucepan away from the heat then stir in

• 1 1/2 of chocolate chips

Stir until the chocolate chips are completely melted and the mixture is smooth then add :

• 2 eggs
• 1/2 a teaspoon of vanilla extract

Stir until well combined, then stir in the bowl of ingredients we made and put aside in the beginning. When well combined the mix is ready to be made.

The title of the book I read was Thea Stilton and The Mystery on the Orient Express by Geronimo and Thea Stilton. This book is an adventure book.

Holiday Reading - Choose your own

The activity I decide to do was to pick your favourite chapter of the book I read and tell why that chapter is your favourite.

The title of the chapter I think is the best is An Army of Clowns.

This chapter is my favourite because it is when Geronimo and his nephew Benjamin found out that the clown that helped them, Chuckles is a criminal and he is the one that has been stealing all of the pumpkins for halloween.  

The title of the book I read was The Peculiar Pumpkin Thief by Geronimo Stilton. The book is a book about mystery.

Holiday Reading - Rewrite the Ending

   

In the end of the story I think that instead of Geronimo tripping over a rock I think he should has felt a sudden rush quickness and pedaled as fast as he could rushed past the team in front of Geronimo’s then won.
