“Desk Inspection”
Before hometime
Yikes! I squint hoping my desk is clean as I
pull out my heavy tote tray.
I noticed I had brown, wrinkled apple cores and
Hard, crunchy orange peels laying above and
Below my school books,
I am astounded that there was
Enough apple cores and orange peels
To fill up half my cluttered desk.
